DAY RIDE

August 4, 2009

Tuesday, August 4th starts out slightly overcast- but the rain is not expected until late afternoon- so we take off on another Day Ride.

From our house in North Knoxville, we take Broadway to Norris Freeway, then to 170 North.  170 North leads us to 33 North just above Maynardville.

We take our first stop after the bridge crossing Clinch River.

We rode through New Tazewell to Thorn Hill and jumped on 131 South toward Washburn.

We stopped for gas and lunch in Washburn.

After lunch, we continued on 131 South through Luttrell, on to Corryton. We then jumped on Tazewell Pike and rode back into Knoxville and headed home.

 

End of ride.

 

 

Our total ride today was 102 miles and once again, we beat the rain!
