OUR BEGINNING

In
the summer of 1994, we were both working at UT Hospital and spending all
of our spare time riding. Little did we know that in a few months time,
we would begin to realize our dream of owning our own business.

1971 Green Sportster and a 1972 Black Shovelhead.
In October 1994, we leased our store on Chapman Highway, lettered up
our red van and began to prepare the store.

Humble beginnings.

We had very little money to start with- so to help fill up the store, we
placed some of our personal bikes on display.

After
a snow storm damaged the front of our building, we replaced our first
sign with what is now our signature orange and black Biker Rags sign.

Our new sign!

Slowly our store began to grow and we were attracting more riders all
the time.

As our business continued to grow, we realized we had to move out
west and as fate would have it- we found this wonderful store on
Kingston Pike. This was a huge financial risk for us, but we knew
it was a risk we had to take.
For about six months, we kept both locations open - but we were
stretched incredibly thin running two stores seven days a week - so in
May of 1997, we consolidated both stores into our current Kingston Pike
location.
