CHARITY RIDE TIPS
Over the years, we have seen many folks put together charity rides-
some more successful than others. In order to assist you in planning
your charity ride, we have compiled this list of tips:
- Need to provide at least 2 people to coordinate event.
- Need to provide 1 Road Captain that will scout the route
(including rest stops) and lead the route day of ride.
- Need to provide detailed maps for all participants.
- Need to provide volunteers to collect donations and pass out
maps.
- Need to coordinate ending of ride with food sponsor or
restaurant.
- Need to provide liability insurance and/or waiver against all
claims.
- Need to provide flyer promoting the event.
- Need to provide contact number on information flyer.
- Need to provide volunteers to get flyers to all local motorcycle
shops.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
- Advertise event in local papers.
- Advertise event on local radio.
- Promote event on local TV news shows.
- Get corporate sponsor for event to help offset expenses.
- Sell advertising spaces on back of event T-Shirt.
- For annual events, advertise with a website.
